Fantastic and versatile trailer. One of the few lightweight trailers that can carry a full tonne and be safely towed by an average car (most are 4 wheel twin axle which makes them a lot heavier). Trailer itself weighs under 300kg so typically anything Ford Focus sized and up can legally pull it. It’s slightly longer and wider than 8 feet x 4 feet so easily carries 8×4 sheets and the front and back drop flat to carry longer items. I’ve had the trailer for about twenty years but it’s only been used domestically – house moves, collecting building materials for house renovations, disposing of rubble etc – I estimate it’s only actually covered a few thousand miles since new. It’s in good condition for its age, with a few knocks and scrapes and age related wear and tear. It tows well, has good tyres and all the lights and brakes work. There is a spare wheel. The original resin plywood deck was replaced about 10 years ago, with standard 12mm ply and 3mm aluminium plate on top, the ply is soft in places underneath so I would recommend the new owner replaces it at some point but it’s usable as it is. I have noticed that the gas strut on the handbrake lever isn’t working – it just makes it a bit harder to pull the handbrake on. Viewings and test drives welcome.
