This combination of an Erde 142 flatbed trailer and Mauser IBC tank is being used for a number of applications such as failing spring spring water supplies, self builds etc. The towing coupling is a standard 50 mm as fitted to cars and the electric plug is the normal seven pin plug. If your car has the 13 pin system, adaptors are available. There is very little wear to the tyres and the 48 mm jockey wheel is new as is the non-drill fitting kit. The Mauser 1000 litre IBC tank is exceptionally clean and it’s steel reinforced frame is secured to the flatbed trailer with sixteen 8 mm fixings. The Mauser outlet spout is included. There is a step at the nearside front corner to help reach the tank fill cap. Please be aware that a trailer carrying 1000 litres of water (one tonne in weight) on the public highway must be braked and the towing vehicle must have the power/weight capacity to tow it. This means that the braked trailer will need to have a gross weight of about 1350 kg and the towing vehicle will need to have a 2.2 cc engine. The Erde 142 flatbed trailer can carry 500 litres on the public road and having a gross weight of only 600 kg the trailer can be towed by smaller cars. It is at your discretion how much you carry on private land. Feedback suggest that the trailer handles 700 litres comfortably on even ground.
