For sale is a overland camping trailer chassis. CAD designed and professionally built by an engineering company. This was going to be built very similar to the Patriot Campers X1 etc as shown in the last picture. This has been fully galvanised and zinc coated with independent adjustable suspension arms on discovery 2 air bags. Comes with trailer braked hubs with defender 165.1 PCD and defender steel wheels running 235/75/15 Michelin Latitude Cross Tyres which are part worn. (Road legal, just used for moving it around before deciding on the final tyre set). This was originally designed to fit defender rear springs, however I have how engineered this now to use discovery 2 air bags as seen. The trailing arms use defender bushes for easy replacement, and also has been engineered to adjust the toe in or out on the wheels. This has also been designed to accommodate shocks, which you can fit your own chosen shocks once you know your length of travel wanted as the air bag suspension makes it adjustable for the weight and was going to be decided once fully built. The top mount for the discovery 2 air bags could ideally need welding in and painted to finish that section however I’m not happy with my welding skills for this yet so I’ve simply bolt in an under plate for now. Comes with two plates to weld in. 3.8m long from rear to coupling and 1.7m wide. Also features a defender rear chassis at the rear of the trailer so is fully customisable with defender accessories. Can be towed away, however not IVA tested yet and the brakes have not been fully fitted and adjusted, however given the very little weight of the trailer currently this isn’t an issue. This is incredibly sad sale on my behalf however my circumstances have now changed and this must now go. This is now a perfect foundation to build into your own camper of your choosing and being on air suspension, will tow like a dream.
