This Erde 122 Classic Trailer is perfect for use as a camping trailer and carrying garden waste etc. It is constructed from galvanised steel for strength and corrosion protection. The trailer comes with a lockable ABS hard cover which increases the volume the trailer can carry and protects the load from the weather as well as providing a secure environment for your load. The Erde 122 hard top cover increases the height of the trailer by approximately 20cm at the front of the trailer and 25cm at the rear due to its stepped design and increases volume by about 50%. Opening the cover is assisted by a gas strut, which also holds the cover open making loading and unloading the trailer easier. Locks are integrated into the latches fitted on to the rear of the trailer. The trailer comes with a jockey wheel, spare wheel (still has a lot of tread), hitch chain and 7 pin electrical connection cable. The tailgate drops down to allow easier loading or tipping (see photo). The Erde 122 is capable of carrying a net load weight of 337kg. Recessed light clusters allow the trailer to be stored vertically on its end, this significantly reduces the area required to store the trailer when not in use. Although we didn’t do this in our garage. A universal hitching lock is also supplied. Keys to lock the cover to the trailer and to lock the trailer on a tow bar are provided. We have used the trailer for camping trips over the years, we found it ideal to store our camping gear and then simply hitch it to our car for a quick weekend getaway. The trailer has some scuff marks on the galvanised steel, one of the tyres is a bit worn (it can be replaced with the spare wheel which has good amount of tyre tread) and the hard top has a small crack but this does not affect its use at all.
