Brian James space saving small car transporter. It is suitable to be towed behind van based motorhomes or four wheel drive type vehicles. It has also been used for a Smart car but in this case the Smart needs to be reversed on rather than facing foward to balance the weight correctly over the axle. The great advantage of this trailer is to reduce its size for storage on a campsite especially where space is limited. The front drawbar folds and locks up in the vertical position saving almost four feet (1.20m) in storage space. This can also be done when the car is still on the trailer by means of the additional prop stand mounted at the front which swings down and supports the front of the trailer whist the tow bar is swung up. The trailer has the very high security Knott Triple Lock MAX coupling that has an additional 50mm ball on a swinging arm that locks into the coupling helping to prevent theft. This trailer fits in a single garage with a car on, due to its unique foldable tow pole so no need to worry about storage. This trailer is no longer available from Brian James, due to EU regs so is very rare. I used it to tow a MK2 Golf around 6 times a year to go to and from race meetings, so probably only done around 3000 miles, if that. It hasn’t been used since October 2016 due to not racing the MK2 Golf. Brought brand new in June 2011 and always stored in a garage or unit. Was serviced by Brian James in 2016.
