This Pegasus trailer was designed to transport two small ponies or a single horse plus a driving carriage. The horse or ponies are loaded into the front portion of the trailer. There are two ramps to allow front unloading. There is partioning that can be installed for transportation of two small ponies. The rear section is a small caravan with a bench seat that folds out to a small double bed, a cooker, sink and small fridge. There are storage cupboards and a collapsible table, In the small central section is a loo and washbasin. Bottled gas powers the cooker (and fridge I think). Lights are powered by a 12v battery. As well as the back loading door there is a personal door to the caravan area. The rear caravan section allows for complete folding away of the seat/bed and table so that a carriage can be loaded up the ramps into this area. I have used it with a 4 wheel bellcrown carriage. The trailer also comes with a large awning that fits to the off side. I have never used the awning so cannot vouch for its condition. This trailer would also lend itself to use by a motorcyclist. The’horse’ area could accommodate up to 3 bikes. A motorcycle and sidecar could be loaded into the rear section. The trailer is 17′ long and 7′ wide. The payload is 800kgs which equates to 2 x ponies/1 x horse plus a carriage of about 200kgs. Most large modern motorcycles weigh about 200kgs, so maybe up to 4 motorcycles could be carried. Fully laden the trailer weighs 3500kgs so typically you need something like a Land Rover Defender/Discovery/Range Rover to tow it. I believe some of the large Japanese 4x4s will tow this weight.
