This is a Woodford RL3000 trailer. Unfortunately it is too big for our purposes; transporting classic Mini’s around the country. Just to note, the first two pictures are example pictures from Woodford’s website, all other pictures are pictures of our trailer. She hasn’t been washed in the pictures and is a bit dirty from use! Our driver has described it as being excellent and it is huge; we have used it on several occasion to transport a Mazda 6 estate, a Ferrari 360 and a Jaguar MK2. She’s a used trailer and comes with some marks here and there as you might expect, that being said we were going to wrap her and/or sign write her and this would cover up any marks. There is currently an undiagnosed fault with the tilt, but as we have just used the ramps this has not been an issue. What Are the Dimensions & Weight. This is a Woodford RL3000 trailer. Our drivers describe the trailer as exceptional in what it is, but too big for our purposes (moving tiny classic Mini’s usually around country lanes). Aircraft grade aluminium / tubular frame clam-shell covered trailer suitable for a small race car like a Caterham or even a Radical. I have been using it for nearly 3 years towing my Classic Formula Ford Single Seater but I understand it has been used to tow historic F1 cars in the past. It rolls freely and is light enough to move by hand. Whilst it is still very serviceable and roadworthy, it could benefit form some cosmetic refurbishment. I have fitted a battery to power the electric winch and it have strip LED lights that are very effective. The trailer has canvass sidewalls that keep the inside of the trailer out of the wind and make the inside a great place to sleep. The trailer is watertight and has had new tyres last year. There is a super useful box on the hitch that is used to store tie down kit and the wheel clamps. There are 2 hasps fitted to the lid making the trailer secure. 15′ (4.57m) Long. 79 (2.0m) Wide for loading. 71 (1.80m) – between wheel arches. Flat Floor With Tie Down Rings. Hitch, safety cable and good electrics. Ideal For Sports Racing Car, Large Single Seater or road sports cars. I have owned this trailer for several years now and we have used it to tow historic sports cars – it’s nice to turn up with a’period’ trailer. This trailer tows brilliantly and I have been told it very stable even above the legal speed limit! One of the benefits of the clam shell design is that it is low enough to go under the’Class 1′ height restriction so tolls in France are much cheaper. It has been very well maintained and has nearly new tyres, recent bearings. The aluminium body has some marks and scratches here and there and could do with a repaint and some gentle renovation. It’s possibly the cheapest and most cost effective covered trailer available. You can even sleep in it!
