Dastle Racebox – Vehicle Car Transporter Trailer Large green enclosed vehicle trailer in good usable condition Full aluminum body, signs of bubbling paint in a few places as the aluminum has corroded underneath, but still completely solid. This is purely cosmetic since it’s not steel. No steel = No rust! Exterior trailer dimensions (all dims are approximate): – 2.5m tall – 2.4m wide – 6.5m long (from ball hitch to rear) Interior trailer dimensions (dims are approximate): – 1.9m wide (narrowest point between wheel wells) – 2.1m wide excluding wheel wells that are approx. 30cm from ground in middle. 4.1m long (from back door to cabinets) – 1.75m max height between floor and top of entry door frame – 1.9m internal roof height (door frame is slightly lower than roof height). Trailer has been 1 owner from new, bought back in 2003 to transport Veteran cars. Now surplus to requirements given the current situation & we no longer have the desire to travel for shows. Wheels and tyres in good condition – appears to be ready to go! Tyres across both axles all hold air and seem to be in excellent condition, includes 3x spare wheels. Dastle Racebox Race Car Trailer. A growing family forces the sale of my trusty and versatile Racebox. It was built in 1994 and underwent a full strip and rebuild around 5-6 years ago, just before I bought it. Ive put a lot of work into the trailer and it has served me extremely well at race weekends, transporting the car and pit equipment with ease and providing comfortable accommodation / privacy / place to relax between races. There are a few jobs Id have liked to do to finish the trailer to a really comfortable standard but, with a young family Ive simply not had the time. Ill be extremely sad to see it go. Dimensions (mm – approx). Outer – L: 6430(rear to hitch), W: 2270, H: 2360. Internal – Load area; L: 4760, W: 2050(max), 1900(between arches), H: 1850(max), 1735(rear door), Workbench depth: 450. 6x safety glass glazed windows allowing plenty of light in. Fitted Honda generator in front cupboards (never had it working fully but have had it turning over). Built in shelving on either side. Built in blue-roll holder. Full sized never used spare wheel & tyre. During my ownership it has had the following work done. Width adjustable galvanised ramps to cater for different wheel-base cars. Re-seal/re-rivet roof with tiger-seal. Heavy duty jockey wheel and clamp. Full road lighting and LED side running lights. Internal steel frame strengthening – allowing space for cabling/spot lamps in the ceiling corners. Wall and ceiling insulation with 1 Celotex foam board. White PVC boarding on ceiling. Bespoke designed fold-out double bed with memory foam mattress – stows to a depth of 3 – less than the width between the arches so does not effect car loading width. 4x tie down points. 4x new trailer tyres. Recent service with new brake shoes, cables and wheel bearings. What jobs would I do to finish it off? . Insulate underside of floor. Ground hook up point. Leisure battery and tow-vehicle/ground power charging system with 240v inverter for fitment of household electrical sockets. Camper-van style heating system. Replace gas-rams on rear door as theyve weakened over time and no longer hold the door up. This trailer will provide you with excellent secure, dry transport for your vehicle and a very comfortable, useable space at the track. It tows very nicely and has been a joy to use and work on. For Sale is my Dastle Race Box trailer. Was intending to use this box as storage for a 2nd race car but have decided to focus on a single series in 2019/20 and its not been used. The standard dimensions are. Rear Door width : 1.93m. Rear Door height : 1.73m. Interior (Bed) length : 4.8m. Interior Width (between arches) : 1.93m. Overall Height : 2.32m. Its in overall good condition, its dry / no leaks and axels / brakes work. Good storage compartments and location for winch, bed and doors (ramps) are in good condition. The bad bits are. The lights could do with a re-wire, the original lights / markers dont work, it has a trailer board style cluster to the rear doors for road use currently, its not been a problem for me but I can provide a trailer board if you wish. There are 2 marks / holes as pictured, not horrendously bad in anyway and can be touched up or patched. Access door will need a replacement hinge soon – Im aiming to do this shortly, but happy to negotiate around this albeit I have priced it taking this in to consideration. No keys for the access door, simple caravan type lock to replace. Its a nice simple and honest race box with good capacity looking for a new home. This Dastle Race box had had 2 owners and is has been very well looked after with storage inside between use. Axle and frame are immaculate all of the fixings and electrics are working perfectly. It includes a large, 2 car aluminium framed awning which can be set up in about 20 minutes. It provides a full team working space at race meetings as well as security for equipment to be left outside the trailer in the paddock. It has an internal winch for loading and fitted shelves and cupboards, enough for a full race weekend. It also has a tyre rack and partition racking for additional storage when transporting a car. Internal dimensions: the load area is 6 metres long (just under 20ft) measured from the rear doors/ramps to the built in work bench/ cupboards. If you removed the cupboards you would gain approx. The maximum internal width is 2.113m or 7ft, with the narrowest width between the wheel arches being 1.9m/63. This determines what car you can fit in. It is wired for paddock electrics, with fuseboard and 3pin internal plugs. LED internal and external awning lights. All I’m all a fabulous trailer which has allowed us to spend whole weekends in the paddock with beds inside when the car is safely tucked in the sealed awning.
